Rožmberk Merrymaking

Forget about your everyday worries and take a trip with us back to the 16^th century. Enjoy an evening full of good times and unforgettable experiences. Dress yourself up in a Renaissance costume, take a seat at a richly-laden medieval table lined with candles, and enjoy the good life with excellent food and drink at a real Renaissance Feast. Listen to professional Renaissance musicians during dinner, watch a fire-eater, belly dancer, jesters, magician, swordfighters, and Renaissance dancers perform to your pleasure, even inviting you up to the floor yourself.

The entire program is hosted by a herald in your choice of Czech, German, or English.

The wave of the evening's events will lead you, just about an hour before midnight, into the crooked cobblestoned streets of the Krumlov Old Town on a night tour, our own Mysteria. You'll hear mystic stories of the historic homes and their long-passed inhabitants.

Along the way you'll be surprised by meetings with secret beings, and you'll become a witness to strange happenings of the night as well as a swordfight or two. Your night journey will lead you either to a romantic tavern or into our hotel's wine cellar to taste the ancient mead wine, the art of which was nearly forgotten.

Renaissance Feast

An inseparable part of a real Rožmberk Merrymaking is the Renaissance Feast. Taste the traditional specialties of Czech cuisine -grilled suckling pig or ham on the bone, smoked meat and cheese plates, fried chicken steaks, chicken ragu, baked chicken legs, trout fillets, fruit bowls, vegetable salads, cakes, banquet pastries, and various side dishes.
